Get a slice of the Royal Wedding…pizza

PIZZA lovers can now get a slice of the Royal Wedding action after a unique portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton was created to celebrate their forthcoming marriage.

With Kate’s veil made from mushrooms and her dress from cheese, the royal pizza is also made up of salami and peppers for William’s morning suit.

Using ham for their faces and olives as their hair Papa John’s came up with the tasty treat ideal for Royal Wedding street parties across Britain in two weeks time.

But those looking to get a piece of the action – will have to apply in email to the company as they take an entire day to make.

Jack Swaysland, Vice President for the UK and Europe, for Papa John’s said: “It seems like the whole country has got Royal Wedding fever, so we just had to do something special to celebrate this momentous occasion.

“Like all our pizzas, our royal portrait is made from 100 per cent fresh dough and we believe in using better ingredients, so it tastes as good as it looks.

“There are odds of 50/1 that the Royal Wedding Breakfast will be pizza so, you never know, Kate and William might be requesting a special delivery on the big day.”

John Prior – Director of marketing for UK and Europe, said it wasn’t possible to sell the pizzas in store.

He added: “It takes a whole day to make so it’s not possible to produce it on a store level. But anybody can email us and win the chance to get one sent direct to their door.

“It uses ingredients which are included in all of our pizzas.”
