28-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED AFTER PENSIONER FOUND DEAD

A 28-year-old man has been arrested after a pensioner was found dead at a house late on Friday night (25/3).

The body of the male victim, who is believed to be in his 70s, was discovered at an address on Tudor Road in Nuneaton, Warks., at 10.20pm.

Yesterday (Sat), police confirmed his death is being treated as suspicious as officers conducted enquiries in the area.

A 28-year-old man from Nuneaton has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody while the investigation continues.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: “The man believed to be in his seventies was found deceased at an address on Tudor Road.

“His next of kin have been informed, but formal identification has not yet taken place.

“His death is currently being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed. Enquiries are currently ongoing at the address.

“If anyone has any information which may assist with the police enquiry, they are urged to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 375 of 25th March.
