A HORNY lesbian couple have been rapped by police after they were caught romping in a park in broad daylight.
Horrified parents fled from the popular park with their children as they witnessed the passionate pair getting up close and personal in an open-air afternoon sex session.
The women, both 25, and believed to be students, were caught having sex by police officers in the Northampton park at 2.30pm on Monday.
The randy duo were spotted in a state of undress performing a sex act on The Racecourse, opposite St George’s Avenue, which is opposite the town’s university.
Shocked passers-by saw the women getting intimate while gobsmacked parents left the park with their kids in tow.
One eyewitness, who asked not to be named, said: “One girl was performing oral sex on the other. She had her leggings and knickers round her ankles with her legs over the other girl’s shoulders.
“When the police officers arrived, one of the girls cried her eyes out and the other just laughed.”
Mum-of-two Ruth Chapman, 35, was in the park with her children. She said: “I could not believe my eyes. You don’t expect to see something like that in the middle of the day and in such a public place.
“I didn’t hang around to see what happened. I didn’t want my children to see that.”
Several members of the public were understood to have seen the pair and informed police.
They were handed an official police caution and warned over their future conduct.
Some locals reacted with disgust to the revelation, flooding forums and message boards.
Web user ‘Shalom’ posted on a local newspaper website: “I remember the gay community protesting long and loud about some restaurant opening at Billing. Apparently it would get in the way of their “rights” to indulge in cruisingcottaging for sex. Trouble is, the last Labour government so indulged this vociferous lobby group, that they think they can get away with any sort of behaviour at any time.”
Meanwhile ‘Jackson’ asked: “If they had been men would they have been arrested?”
Others saw the funny side to the randy romp. The man who reported it to police admitted he watched for an hour before doing so.
One man, with a username called ‘vokey’ quipped: “I was one who reported this to the Police, i watched for an hour before making a decision.”
While ‘Cely’ wrote online: “What a perfect way to attract visitors to the park.”
Sick. If my children saw this I would have smacked those lesbians up. You do not do that in public you sick people.
