A stand at the Twente Stadium has collapsed, trapping an unknown number of people under the structure.
“Part of the roof has collapsed. There are people under the rubble. We don’t know how many,” a Dutch police spokesman said after the incident in Holland.
It is unknown at present if anyone has been killed or injured. The collapse of a major part of the roof is thought to have been caused by construction work that was taking place.
Police, fire brigade and ambulances are heading to or at the scene, news agency ANP reported.
