RAPPER JAIL TERM COULD END US CAREER

So Solid Crew rapper MC Harvey was jailed for ten weeks which could scupper his “flourishing” US movie career.

Michael Harvey’s lawyer pleaded with magistrates to spare him jail or at best suspend the sentence so he could not face a travel ban to the US.

But Harvey, 36, of Wandsworth, south west London, was jailed and received his fourth driving ban at Hammersmith Magistrates’ Court today (Thurs).

Mrs Blandford: “You were stopped by police on the third of December 2015 and you drove away.

“You attended the police station approximately a month later and gave a prepared statement which it is now admitted was untruthful.

“We appreciate that you have a flourishing career and have been addressed on the effect custody will have on this and your family and personal circumstances.

“Your representative on your behalf has said you now realise that you have made exceptionally poor choices in relation to driving.

“We have considered suspending the sentence but in light of the aggravating facts we are not going to do this.”

She imposed ten weeks imprisonment, 12 months community supervision and an 18-month driving ban.

He hung his head touching it on the glass of the dock as he was jailed.

He looked at his mum who was sat in the witness stand and she appeared to mouth “Don’t worry about it”.

He was also ordered to pay £620 costs and a £80 victim surcharge.
