Professor Marios Politis is a Consultant Neurologist, Professor of Neurology, the Director of Neurodegeneration Imaging Group and the Director of Mireille Gillings Neuroimaging Centre. Professor Politis’s research involves the use of molecular, functional and structural imaging as a method of investigating pathophysiology and effects and complications of novel therapies in the treatment of neurodegenerative conditions. His research has led to a body of investigative work exploring the pathophysiology of movement disorders such as Huntington’s and Parkinson’s disease. Professor Politis has spent many years teaching at university level.
