For its fourth edition, the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) is heading back to İstanbul Expo Center, running January 6 to 9, 2027. Organisers hope to gather more than 500 exhibiting companies and around 35,000 sector professionals representing over 150 countries, opening fresh avenues for cross-border business and partnership.
Istanbul, Türkiye: The Istanbul Fair Center (İFM) is the venue for The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027, which runs January 6 to 9, 2027. Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. is organising the event, with backing from the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB) and the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB).
Gathering manufacturers, importers and wholesalers in Istanbul alongside chain stores, interior designers and architects, the fair will link Türkiye’s worldwide standing as a carpet producer with international commerce.
Where carpet trade meets the world
International buyers will see what Türkiye offers in manufacturing capacity, design know-how and strategically placed geography, while exhibitors gain the chance to break into fresh markets, build export links and form partnerships worldwide.
More than 500 exhibitors are anticipated at ICFE 2027, alongside some 35,000 visitors travelling from over 150 countries.
Over the course of the fair, exhibitors are set to forge new commercial ties with professional buyers drawn from major carpet and floor coverings markets, including Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.
A city positioned to boost business
Istanbul sits where Europe meets Asia, and its sophisticated transport and logistics networks add to the global pull of ICFE.
Because an extensive web of direct flights links the city with destinations worldwide, sector professionals can reach the fair with little difficulty, and exhibitors gain access to numerous markets in one place.
Customs change to welcome overseas exhibitors

To back the exhibition and draw in participants from abroad, an important regulation has been brought in by the Directorate General of Customs of the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade. Exclusively for ICFE 2027, the temporary customs duty set out in Türkiye’s customs legislation now stands at 10%, having previously been charged at 100% of the FOB (Free on Board) value of goods that international exhibitors bring to the event.
Shaped through close and wide-ranging cooperation between the relevant public bodies and industry representatives, the regulation should considerably lighten the costs borne by international firms displaying high-value products. It is also likely to attract exhibitors from a wider range of countries and to boost the volume of international trade at the exhibition.
Spotlight on design and shared expertise
Beyond the business on the show floor, ICFE 2027 will stage a programme of events intended to foster sector development, innovation and the exchange of knowledge.
Having drawn strong interest at earlier editions, Carpet Talks returns, gathering prominent figures from the sector to debate design, production, branding and the transformation of the industry.
Original carpet designs will be brought before industry professionals on a global stage through the Carpet Design Awards, which celebrate innovation. The Carpet Workshop, for its part, will offer visitors inspiration with a special concept in which designers from various countries work together on production.
Bringing the sector’s professionals together
Manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals will find at ICFE 2027 a trading platform for uncovering fresh business prospects.
Attendees will have the chance to connect with new suppliers, keep track of emerging trends in the sector, take part in B2B meetings and widen their international business networks.
The last edition welcomed 445 exhibitors, together with 31,410 visitors from 127 countries, and building on that, ICFE 2027 intends to secure a firmer place among the leading carpet and flooring events worldwide by widening participation and raising its international profile.
