‘Inspiring a growth culture’, is the theme of the next lecture in the Bristol Distinguished Address Series, delivered by Dennis Hogan, Managing Director, Compass Group UK & Ireland, at UWE Bristol’sExhibition and Conference Centre, on Wednesday 18 November 2015.

Dennis joined the UK & Ireland business in January 2014 from Compass Group North America, where he ran a number of our businesses.

Working with Compass for over 17 years, he has held a range of operational and finance roles. Most recently, Dennis was CEO of Canteen Vending Services for Compass Group North America. Prior to joining Compass Group in 1996, Dennis was the Chief Financial Officer for a retail start-up venture in Washington, DC.

He also worked on strategic planning and product management for American companies MCI Telecommunications and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Dennis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from James Madison University and also received a master’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois. In 1998, he completed and passed the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam.

An audience of over 200 is expected including over 100 leaders from the business community, as well as local government leaders, UWE Bristol academics and alumni.

The Bristol Distinguished Address Series provides a unique opportunity to hear about the challenges, issues and decisions being made at the highest level of strategic leadership.

The series is delivered by the Bristol Business School in partnership with ACCA, Bristol City Council, Bristol Junior Chamber, Bristol Post, Business West, CBI, CMI,FSB, IoD, ICAEW and the West of England LEP.

Following the talk, there will be an opportunity for the audience to put forward their issues and questions at this event.
