GIRL, TEN, SEXUALLY ASSAULTED AS SHE GOES TO LOCAL SHOPS

Police are hunting a child molester who indecently assaulted a 10 year-old girl in daylight as she walked home from the shops.

The pervert approached the youngster, grabbed her top and forced his hand up her T-shirt before she bravely pushed him away.

She ran home and told her family who alerted police to the incident in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset at lunchtime on Sunday April 17.

The child was shaken but unhurt and described the man as white, aged 20 to 30, about 5ft 9ins tall, with short dark brown hair and a nose “squashed to one side”.

She had seen him in the same place a few minutes earlier on her way to the local shops and he attacked her as she walked back.

Police have carried out house-to-house enquiries and are checking on CCTV while neighbourhood officers increase patrols.
