MUM FILMED GETTING CHANGED AT SWIMMING POOL

Police are hunting for a suspected voyeur who filmed a mum at a swimming pool while she was getting CHANGED.

The unnamed mother was alerted to the incident by her son who spotted a hand holding a phone underneath the changing cubicle.

Maria Shaw, the manager of the pool run by Active Life in Whitstable, Kent, said staff are on high alert since the incident.

The mum said: “Some creep in the cubicle next to us had angled their phone on the floor to video me changing.

“Luckily my super boy spotted a hand holding a phone and, seeing my legs on it, called out ‘mummy, someone’s videoing you’.

“The cubicle was empty by the time I’d worked out what he was telling me and it was pretty busy so there’s no way of knowing who it was.”

Manager Maria said: “We are working hard to make customers aware of the situation and ask for them to be vigilant.

“Our staff are patrolling the changing rooms regularly .

“And we are asking customers who see anything suspicious to report it immediately, even if that means wrapping a towel around themselves and finding a member of staff as quickly as possible.

“We have signs up around the building making it clear any form of photography is prohibited.”

Kent Police have launched an investigation into the incident that took place at 3.30pm on Saturday.

Spokesman Scarlet Jones said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the changing rooms at the pool at the time of the incident.”
