POLITE GRAFFITI VANDAL ASKED FOR “SOFT PLAY CENTRE PLEASE”

The world’s most polite graffiti artist has decorated an unsightly building site with a childish request.

Using metre-high red letters, the artist – dubbed ‘Thanksy’ – wrote the words: “soft play center please?”

The site, in Redhill, Surrey, was formerly a Liquid and Envy nightclub – but it would seem the local street artists are seeking a more child-friendly restoration.

The Reigate and Banstead councillor in charge of the site’s regeneration, Natalie Bramhall, said the graffiti had “not helped” the area’s appearance.

Meanwhile, the former club’s new owner, multimillionaire property tycoon Eric Grove, has not yet revealed his plans for the site.
