Javad Marandi is a billionaire businessman, investor, and philanthropist, whose journey from fleeing revolutionary Iran to becoming one of the UK’s most influential figures is a testament to resilience, ambition, and vision.
Born in Tehran in 1968, Marandi and his family fled to London in 1979 following the Iranian Revolution, leaving behind their assets. While his father remained in Iran for two years due to exit visa delays, Marandi adapted to life in the UK, immersing himself in British culture to learn English.

He later became an entrepreneur, launching distribution and advertising businesses in Azerbaijan and securing a McDonald’s franchise, expanding it into 19 successful locations.
In 2010, Marandi and his wife Narmina returned to the UK, where he expanded his business interests across property, retail, and hospitality.
