Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Emaar Properties has announced a revolutionary lighting upgrade for the Burj Khalifa. Featuring cutting-edge RGBW technology, the new system blends technological advancement with the structure’s iconic design. The lighting system will debut during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations on 1 December 2024, marking the lead-up to the tower’s 15th anniversary on 4 January 2025.
This dynamic upgrade reimagines the tower’s exterior, offering a dazzling array of colours and lighting effects that enhance the visitor experience and showcase Dubai’s commitment to innovation and design excellence.
The project involved six months of intensive testing to ensure smooth implementation. The RGBW lighting system replaces static fixtures with addressable, colour-changing lights, enabling intricate displays that are adaptable to everyday use as well as special celebrations. These new features complement the Burj Khalifa’s media screen while preserving its renowned sleek aesthetic.
