21-YEAR-OLD DRIVER KILLED IN HORROR SMASH

A 21-year-old man has been killed and two others seriously injured after a two car smash on Friday (17/6).

The man was driving a Peugot when it crashed with a Subaru and he died on Low Wood Road, Nuthall, Notts., at 7.30pm.

A man and a woman in his car were still in hospital yesterday afternoon (Sat) as well as the Subaru driver.

It is not thought the man and woman in hospital are in a life-threatening condition.

Low Wood Road was closed for more than seven hours as a result of the crash and re-opened at 2.45am.

No one has been arrested by police.

Now, crash scene investigators are appealing to two motorists who may have vital information to come forward.

One car is a believed to be a silver Vauxhall Zafira which stopped at the scene immediately after the crash.

The other is a dark coloured Renault Megane, whose driver may also have important details.

A police spokesman said: “It is imperative that the drivers of these vehicles make contact with the police in order to provide this essential assistance.”

If anyone knows who was in the Zafira or Megane, or has any other information about the crash, please call 101, quoting incident number 862 of 17 June.
